Born in Mexico City on February 2, 1977

The Sculptor Roberto Ledesma formed his artistic tendency from an early age, being notable concern for the arts, his mother, Dr. Estela Avila signed him to a school of artistic initiation of the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA), to 14 years old, where he began learning how to model in clay and wood.

The Sculptor Roberto Ledesma formed his artistic tendency from an early age, being notable concern for the arts, his mother, Dr. Estela Avila signed him to a school of artistic initiation of the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA), to 14 years old, where he began learning how to model in clay and wood.

Due to his restless spirit, Roberto Ledesma ventured to sell small pieces from his acquaintance with great success, so it was not long before they managed to put their works behind the windows of commercial art galleries, a move that opened the doors to give know their work to the public

In the year 1994 he Ponzanelli Octavio Quintero, "Son of Sculptor Octavio Ponzanelli Conti, who was the eldest son of Adolfo Ponzanelli Hijp (disciple of Auguste Rodin), and Italian nationals who arrived in Mexico hired by the architect Adamo Boari for construction of the Palace of Fine Arts and the basement of the Angel of Independence in Mexico City among other works, the lessons needed to enter the field of Monumental Sculpture, country unknown to him at that time due to their recent graduation from Academy of Fine Arts, INBA (Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes).

At 17 years of age decides to try his luck and adventure travel to the city of Veracruz, where he resided for about 2 years, obtaining his first professional achievements at the age of 18, when he was contraratado by the State Government and via the company's Energy and Technology of Mexico, whose founders, Mr. Gustavo Calderón and Mr. Jorge González González Calderón reached out, relying on their personal and professional capacity, getting his first contract to restore the monument to Mariners the world, located in the Malecon of that city, which gave rise to the direction of Veracruz Merchant Marine Academy hired him to perform a series of works among which, the coat of the Nautical School Merchant Orion relief carving marble hall that holds the school and a replica of the ship "Nautical Mexico" in bronze because of a special request of the Director, Captain Alejandro Suarez Vallejo, as such work not competed in the art of sculpture, but decided to take the challenge and make a replica of the ship, it is preserved within the premises of the Nautical School today.

At age 20 he returned to Mexico City, his hometown where he meets the writer Elena Poniatowska, who after an interview granted permission to translate his face in a bust, he flatters himself in gratitude for allowing do.

In its effort to pay tribute and at one point in his teens, gave him advice that would help you set your goals as an artist plasma on a bronze high relief of the actress Sylvia Derbez, getting a space to reveal a garden of the Delegation Cuajimalpa same garden which boasts on its main wall this relief, and that is called "The Garden Sylvia Derbez"

That same year he received a request from Sylvia Eugenia Derbez invited him to collaborate with the team of sculptors of the Wax Museum in Mexico City to provide advice and get the wax sculpture of the actress Sylvia Derbez, who is currently displayed in the museum ........

I got home on Tuesday 28/10/2008. I Came into my room and Suddenly I saw a package on the table. First I Had no idea What Was That. But FEW seconds after I Realized That It Was the sculpture from my dear friend in Mexico.

Roberto's hands Were made ??from gold! All What He Creates from His Heart is! He Gives His Life Into The Things That I've Makes! I Have Seen a Lot of Work That I Had created. I adored hem all! I Could not Believe That You Can Create a human Other People's sculpture with so much passion! It's significativa!

The Sculpture Which I WAS made ??for me Gorgeous! It's really beautiful. Words Can not describe it! Colours are special!
